Director and Designer
I am a graduate of Eastern Illinois University. I hold two Master’s degrees. The first is a Master’s of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences with an emphasis in family services. The second is a Master’s of Art in English with an emphasis in creative writing and literary studies. I am also a certified family life educator.
Concerning my role as director and designer, I personally trained under Gwendolyn Mitchell and Haki R. Madhubuti at Third World Press (one of the nation's oldest, independent, currently operating, Black-owned scholarly publishing houses).
My research interests include narrative therapy, sexual abuse studies, fiction writing, playwriting, professional development for publishers, and neurocritical embodied narratology.
My professional expertise includes developmental editing, reading/writing instruction, graphic design, project management, professional development for writer, and product development.
I also write in the following genres: creative non-fiction, poetry, self-help, fiction, Christian horror, and horror.
